Below are the words I read out at my Gran's funeral: Hi Gran - I have definitely given your ears a good bashing over the years so don't worry I won't keep you long. Lets not beat around the bush. There are no words I can put together that will describe how much I love you and how much I will miss you, so I'm not even going to attempt to go down that path today. I just wanted to take this time to thank you for all you have done for me over the years. You have been my career adviser; football pundit; investment manager; project manager; antiques tutor; commodities dealer; councillor; delivery depot; interior designing, my Gran and most of all my best friend. I'm not sure anyone will ever understand the bond we had. Please be rest assured that your legacy will continue to live on for years to come. I will be back up to Kempton to make sure Lynn is looking after your stall (and not encroaching on your space). I will be over to see Ruth on the island to have your share of the champagne and your seat at the Pointers Inn. All I have accomplished in my life is due to you and for that I can't thank you enough. Gran when I have you in my thoughts no problem I have is insurmountable and I genuinely feel like I can take on the world! I will miss our conversations, laughs, business deals and of course our adventures. I will carry on with my endeavours where every they may take me with you always in my thoughts! Sleep tight Gran you deserve the rest! Lots of love from the worlds proudest grandson.
